chicken people!

i had a dream about pulling big black chickens like carrots from the ground, and shortly thereafter added this beautiful cochin to my little flock in the ATX..

she totally came with this awesome araucauna:

their names are now sammo (araucauna) and bolo (cochin). i wrote all about it in my blog if you're bored: totallyurbanfarmer.blogspot.com

Are you sure the second one is Aracauna? They're not supposed to have tails. Maybe it's Ameracauna or Easter Egger?

awwwwwwwww you guys. i love this forum.

yeah, sammo could totally be an ameraucauna or easter egger....the guy said that she lays green eggs. i am SO excited about that. so i don't care even if she's a dinosaur, i just look forward to them easter eggs!

they are troopers too, poor darlings, it's been so hot. but they've been doing amazingly well.

congrats on the new cochins! they are sooooo floofy...
