I've had my hen for a year now and it did take some time for her to establish her "schedule", but eventually, I got used to her developed schedule.

When the sun sets she would go back to her coop, but never before that, and in the morning at about 10am, she lays her egg (occasionally she would come out of the coop for an hour before heading back in to lay her egg), then would sing her egg song OUTSIDE of the coop, stops singing when she sees a human, and won't go back into the coop until sun set. She has done this for about the last 9 months, without fail.

But today she laid her egg later (12:15ish), she sang her egg song INSIDE the coop and the song had a different tone than usual, I retrieved the egg and she stopped singing and came out of the coop, but a few minutes later she continued her egg song until I made myself visible to her again, then she went back into her coop and just sat down which is something she never does until sunset.

I have no issue with adjusting to a new schedule, but I live in the city and I worry that she might find a new schedule to be noisy at night. Should I worry about this change?

The only thing different I've done is increase the amount of laying mix I feed her.

tl;dr - hen usually sticks to a schedule, but now is behaving differently and won't come out of coop. Should I worry? What's happening?

UPDATE: She just came out of the coop and sang her egg song again, but it sounds entirely different like she was another hen. No second egg

Jump right in and make yourself at home.
They can change there laying routine up ..I wouldn't worry about that. When you mentioned changing her feed mix....can you be more specific.

@KikisGirls thanks! I'm just concerned that she's not coming out of her coop, while she usually likes to spend the entire day out of it.

I usually feed her an equal mix of oats, eggshells, and laying mix purchased from the pet store. A week ago I started to give half the amount of oats and eggshells and substituted with more laying mix.

UPDATE: She just came out of the coop and sang her egg song again, but it sounds entirely different like she was another hen. No second egg

Skip the oats, feed her layer pellets. You can give her egg shell but I wouldn't mix it in the food. You want her to be able to decide how much calcium she wants to add to her diet. Somehow they just know.

I doubt the food change would modify her behavior. Maybe she is concerned about something outside? In any case, she won't be making noise at night.
