Outdoor brooder - tips please!

I would board up the sides except for a 2 or 3 inch gap at the top. Put hardware cloth over the gap. Then put the roof on a hinge so you have easy access inside.
I think that’s going to be the plan. Marking the “rain line” from today since it was coming down decently hard and was moderately windy. Pretty good test case honestly before I had committed to any part of the “build.” (That seems like an overstatement of what this is, haha.)

For the sides....I found a corrugated plastic (think exactly like cardboard is made but with plastic) at Home Depot. It is $30 a sheet but easy to cut with a utility knife. It may be an option for the sides.
