Hey all, I'm looking for a plan for a outdoor coop for coturnix quail. The winters here are rough, so my idea is to bring the birds into cages in the garage in the winter, and for the spring, summer and fall, I'd have them in a coop outside.
Needs to be big enough for 6 birds.

Any Ideas?

Rabbit cage with removable bottom try will work fine for you. They do not require a lot of room.

I have I think eight or nine in a chicken tractor that was too heavy to move often enough for the chickens - 4ft x 8ft. I just make sure I don't go out at night - if I'm out during the day they recognize me but at night I scare them and they fly up and hit the top :/

If I were building it specifically for quail, I think I would use a tarp roof so it still has sun and rain protection but not so hard on their little heads.
