Ahhhh they're so adorable! I have two 3 week olds in my kitchen right now and they're GIANT! Expect them to grow very quickly! Also, if you want them to be friendly I say teach them early. My brother raised the two I have for the first two weeks and I don't think he handled them much because they're extremely skittish! Good luck with your babies!

These were hatched April 16th. But yes I am touching them all the time and picking them up to break that away from them. I’m in love all over again.

This makes me excited to get my 4 Cayugas this week!! I was looking for recommendations on bedding in the brooder... how are the towels doing? Are they easy to wash? I’m worried about duck poop in my washing machine! I was thinking of getting the disposable puppy pads but know that’s not eco friendly AT ALL.

Also how is the kiddie pool holding up so far?

The kiddie pool is holding up quite well and it seems to keep the brooder much warmer since I used two kiddie pools, one on top of the other and made a round hole and put some hardware cloth there then the light. The towels I take them outside and hose them down to take all the poop off then throw them either in my washer if they are extremely dirty first then dry them. I’m only doing this for the first week after I’m going to use the large flake shavings from tractor supply. Not that is not working good just that I don’t like using the washer and drier every day. I clean the washer by running it once more with hot water and bleach to clean it out after washing their towels and I wipe my drier down.
