Hi, I am from Michigan and love my chickens. We've had a very gentle rooster for 3 years and just lately he has been throwing himself at my legs. I think it is because when I let them out I usually have scraps from the night before that I feed them. Once in awhile I don't have any in the morning. Could it be he is wanting more scraps from the house?

Welcome to BYC!! in regard to your question, have you changed the shoes you wear to feed since these behaviors began?? i’ve had cockerels and roosters suddenly start aggressive behaviors and it typically seemed to be linked to a change of footwear and/or nail polish......i also considered ponytail as a possible trigger
