Outdoor Quail Cage

That would probably work and is similar to how I built my first cage (except I used 1/2" on sides and my pull out tray was a solid metal tray.

Problem is I much prefer the poop to just fall on the ground. It can pile up a long time before I have to do anything with it....
Me & you are one in the same... I worry I’ve gone nose blind and I drive around Town in the chickenmobile  4099B578-3504-41A2-BB18-B63A647DCD99.png

@mdees88 and @Henry&Friends I wound up reinforcing a rabbit cage that was given to me with 1/2 inch builders cloth on 5/6 sides. I then built a frame that would hold the cage 40 inches off the ground. It also has a removable "top" that blocks top predators (we have a ton of hawks in our area) and 1/2 builders cloth on both sides and the back (in order to allow for maximum air circulation.

My chicks are only 9 days old so they aren't living in it yet but it has been warm yesterday and today so I've brought them out for a few hours.

The cage isn't pretty but it's functional lol there's still 3 pieces of wood I need to attach though. I'll post a picture.
