Outdoor Rabbit Enclosure ideas?

They’re so cute! Could you share your set up when done?
Yes! I should add, I decided to not build the seperate houses/hutches inside of the dog pen. Since a couple of the does were older they need to be kept separately. So, we have a lean to shed, already with three sides closed in and a roof, so we are building the cages into that. I figured it would keep them better protected. However, they will be allowed to get out and exercise a lot! They’ll just take turns. Haha! They are breeding rabbits, but also pets!

Here we go! I was so tired the day we finished, I forgot to update with a picture. We had a lean-to shed we had built for sheep and for our Pyrenees to get some shelter from the weather. We sold our sheep so we decided to just use it and build the cages into it. We finished out four cages and will finish out a 5th (currently holding hay!) The does get a little extra space for when it’s time to have babies! We have a space, about 20x10 (maybe bigger) to the right of the shed that will allow them to run around and get some exercise on nice days. And there’s still space for our dog, which he rarely actually uses and instead sits in the rain 🤣 Everyone seems happy!

They are all so dang cute!! So do you have to pick them up to put them in their exercise space? We kept ours in their home base for the first week or so, so they could learn it was their spot and I would have to pick them up to let them in the run, my arms are so tore up! I keep getting asked what the heck happened to my arms 😂 They are finally good with me picking them up, now that they can go in the run themselves..... ofcourse

Haha yes we will have to pick them up also! At first I wanted to build them hutches that could just be opened into the run but this felt more secure, plus saved on lumber cost to just add to what was already there. So we are learning the best ways to get them without being scratched to pieces hahaha! But they sure love running around and jumping lol.

It seems like the more time I spend with mine the more ok they are with being picked up

We’ve made progress 😂
