Thank you so much, that makes a lot of sense. I appreciate all your advice!They do heal very quickly. She should be fine within a few days, if not sooner. It is much like us breaking a fingernail. It smarts at first, and we baby it for a bit (more whining lol), but its soon forgotten. If she is healthy otherwise, she will eat when she's hungry. I would provide things that she likes, but I wouldn't worry too much if she doesn't eat real heartily for a day or so.

Reminds me of the time my thumb nail came off as a kid. One of my sibling slammed the sliding door of our family van on it. The next day it turned blacker than the back of Forest Whitaker's neck! Then eventually the nail became weak and I picked it off.
