Ok, I have been doing a lot of reading in preparation of starting out coop. I know the fence will be place 12 inches under ground to prevent predators from digging under. My question is, what do you do where your door is to your outside run? Since the door has to open you can't put the wire underground. So, what do most of you do?

I would still bury wire or some concrete bricks under the door so nothing could dig under it. Cynder blocks would work great they are large and sturdy.
Just an idea.

And cinderblocks (or bricks, or big square pavers set on end, or whatever) won't rust out like wire will. Even galvanized wire will eventually rust through.

Thanks, that is what I was thinking. Burrying cinder blocks under the door area so nothing can dig. I am so worried about my chicks that are comming. As a first time flock owner I am a worry wart!
