Outside temp?

I have 6 buff orpingtons and 1 Dominique 7 weeks old. The past two days have been pretty hot around 80. They aren't really doing much other than laying in the shade. I put up a second area for them to have more shade but they still aren't very active is this normal. First time chicken owner so not sure what to expect. They have plenty of water and food. And I do see them get up eat and drink and will take treats if we go over.

Laziness is perfectly normal when it’s hot outside. As long as they are not panting, they are fine. Just make sure that they have access to cold water and shade. The most important thing is that they have fresh, cold water.
