Yeah know, I always looked at those big bators and thought, why would I ever need something like that?

Well, I have 16 Blue Wheaten Ameraucana eggs, 5 Olive eggs, 4 Splash Marans eggs in my bator
and expecting 6 more Splash eggs and 6 Wheatie Marans by Friday. I will go for the
stacking award for an ECO 20!

That bator looks real good now!!!

I also have the 190. The only problem I have with it is the hatching process. Maintaining a higher humidity is difficult. I leveled the trays and put in extra containers of water and the highest I could get is 60%. Possibly you will have better success. If you do I sure would like to know your technique. I like to hatch between 65% - 70%.

For me, when hatching, the humidity pump doesn't pump fast enough to keep the water container at a consistant level to generate the proper humidity. It keeps evporating and with the constand supply of water coming from the pump, it shouldn't. When I attempted to hatch I added water in the morning and evening to the water container and discontinued when they started to pip.

As an incubator, it's great. Set and forget. As a hatcher, it sucks. I use a GQF incubator which I purchased on craigs list prior to the 190 for hatching.

I will be very interested in your results during the hatching process.

Maintaining a higher humidity might be easier for me because I live in Florida. The air here is already a high humidity. I just got my blue and black silkie eggs from Kathy and Glenn See today, so I guess we'll see how it does in about 21 days........ I will update.

But I'm already having a problem with the humidity pump. When I first plugged it in, it ran one time and then nothing after that. I'm 99% sure I have it setup correctly. I called Brinsea and they are sending me another pump. It should be here tomorrow or early Friday. I love that company because a human answers the phone and a technician called me within the hour. The first person on the phone also tried to troubleshoot it with me. I hope this is an easy fix. The rest of the incubator seems to be working great. It maintains temp very well and restores proper temp after I open the door within 20 seconds. It also runs super quiet.
