Over EZ coop ventilation

I have four chicks ready to move into the coop and want to make sure it’s ready for them. I have the large Over EZ coop which has two portholes for ventilation. The coop is approximately 4X6. There are two windows that I plan to open during the day but shut at night. Do I need more ventilation?

I’m in Colorado and the nights are cool.

Absolutely! Recommended for mild climates is 1 sqft of ventilation per bird

You need lots of permanent ventilation, day, night, winter, summer. Atleast 1 square foot per bird. Cut a 4" strip under the eaves length, cover with hardware cloth. Or cut a large triangle under the roof peak.
