over feeding?

can chickens be overfed? will they overeat or stop when their crop is full?

chickens will not overeat I fill their feeder to last for 3 or 4 days

Good question! Now I'm curious if they will overeat.

Mine have access to food and fresh water 24/7, but I did noticed that when I accidentally set out a more than generous amount of oatmeal one morning, they ate what they wanted and walked away from the rest.

well, mine have actually looked like they would burst on leftovers, but they will stop eating.
