Over feeding??

We’ve got 4 layers.
Question: can one over feed hens, we throw bugs worms a few table scraps in run along with their daily ration of layer feed and scratch. No matter how often ya throw something in there, it’s gone!

Interesting question.
In theory no. A chicken will eat until their crop is full and that will be it for a while.

The chickens can only eat so much. Either something else is coming in and cleaning up, or the chickens are foregoing eating their commercially formulated feed in order to fill up on the extras.
