Over half a foot of snow and still falling... yes, it's april 27th!

Darn... wish we could trade houses! lol our place is small but it's in California in the sunshine! And we would LOVE all that snow. We never get snow in our valley. Too close to the beach.

Eighteen years ago we had something like 12 -14 inches of snow that fell here in Omaha on April 20-21. I remember because I went into labor in the middle of it and almost couldn't get to the hospital.

I'm with you...snow in April - is VERY depressing!

Oh dear! Up here in Maine we had an 80º Easter and no snow since early February (maybe even before that)... been a bit of a let-down, really. They work five snow days into out school year. We had one snow day and one "flood day" because it rained so much.

I don't think I would survive. Thank you for showing me that my winters truly don't suck that bad. But this is what I have to say to the snow:

I just got off the phone with a friend complaining about the frost we're going to get tonight......

Now I feel guilty....

I feel so bad for you! I don't think I could take that anymore at this point. We had some heavy snow flurries and sleet all day today from that wicked Canadian north wind, but it didn't stick. I just came in from covering the garden for the night since its already 34*. Luckily I have the wood stove going and I really hope this is the last time for the year!

Keep warm and pray for spring!

As I type this, it's getting dark and still snowing heavily...

I fell on my butt in the wet snow hauling buckets of water to the coop.

Disgrace!!

I DO NOT miss that. We had so much snow this year I fell on my butt at least twice a day hauling buckets. My one hydrant freezes all the time.

Can't say I can say the same other then the weather keeps going from warm to cold, one day shorts the other a coat is needed, rain on ther weekends though yuck!
