If you have NOT treated your yard for the ticks with a chemical you can go get some adult Guinea Fowl. I would get about 4 of them as this is what is usually takes to make the "Guinea uni mind" and TURN 'EM LOOSE.
They will roost in tree, make sure you have a tree that is tall enough for them to roost on at night.
You may loose a few over time due to predators.
My GF (Guinea Fowl) have doen such a good job at eating the ticks, they are wondering off further and further everyday from the barn. They do come to roost at night in the barn, but i see them literally take offf for the horse and cow pastures now when I open the barn in the morning.
I love my Guineas and the "french" Guineas are becoming my favorites. They are a bit harder to find, but if you can get your paws on them, buy them.
