Overall Advice?

I'll be hatching eggs for the first time soon, and I would just like the basic run-down of what to do. 16 eggs. Thank you! I have a home-made incubator.

Everyone here seems to have a little different method, so i recommend you do what i did - and read everything you can, then do what works and makes sense for your situation.

I, personally, read most of this entire thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=113681 and gleaned a very similar method to the one described in post #21, dry incubation. I have had great hatches from that - 96% so far.
