Overgrown Beak?

My 2 year old hen's beak is looking overgrown. Is there a way to fix this?

Wrap her in a towel and use a toe nail clipper to remove some of her beak. She should be wearing it down naturally. Is she kept outdoors?

Normally she is kept outside, but this year I've had to keep her inside because I have chicks in her summer coup. She is kept with another hen and a rooster indoor, but neither of them have an overgrown beak.

Provide a rock or brick so that they have something to wear their beaks down on.

Dog nail clippers work well for trimming. Just be sure you've got some styptic powder, baking powder (not soda) or corn starch on hand and go by small increments, so if you hit a vein you can stop the bleeding fast, just like you'd do with a dog or cat claw.
