they are eating chick starter (and plenty of mealworms lol) and it was about 70°Their weight looks ok to me, although they look a bit cold, what are the temps that they are out in? What are you feeding them?
should i not bring them out? i thought 70° would be fine for 3 week oldsHmm, They look cold to me, they are puffing their feathers up which might be the reason why you think they look overweight. Ducks for the most part, enjoy being healthy, if they are given plenty activities to do and a healthy environment you rarely have problems with weight, the only exception being meat bred ducks like Pekins.

it was a little windy but they weren’t cuddling much, they were trying to sleeping then because we had just got back from a walkExactly 70 f degrees is fine for ducklings that age, but you have to consider the windchill, as well as if they just went in water they can get chilled fast. They will tell you with what they are comfortable with, if they are huddling together, have puffed up feathers, shivering, decreased movement, they are more than likely cold, in which case they should be brought in to warmer temperatures.
they have a lot of feathers (and their wings are getting bigger!)Agree about the weight...KC are pretty dumpy looking ducks. Yours look happy and healthy!
Have their feathers started coming in very well? That's got a lot to do with their ability to tolerate a cold wind and fluctuating temps.
