Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
There is a lot to learn right here. Brew a pot of coffee and sit down with a notepad and pen and start reading the articles and taking notes. Come back and ask questions in the appropriate forums when you cannot find answers.
Oh, and THANK YOU for your service to our country and enjoy a wonderful Memorial Day!!

I agree, BYC is great for learning things. I spent almost a year reading up off and on before starting. The Learning Center articles are really helpful.

I also read Backyard Chickens for Beginners, by Ruppenthal - it's a kindle unlimited book, so since I have KU it didn't cost me anything.
 
Welcome to BYC and thank you for your service! I'm a military "brat"...my dad, step-dad and step-mom all retired from the Air Force, and I married and Air Force man...he did 10 years before getting out to go into ministry. That being said, I know too well how you have to stretch that military retirement. This is a great place to meet some great people and gain ALOT of knowledge! Good luck in your new adventure.
