Your best bet will be to find your city or county's website and look it up on there. You can also call your city and ask to talk to the Code Enforcement office and they should know. I recently moved and when looking at real estate, whenever it was a new town, I went to their website, looked for a document that pertained to the local laws and downloaded it. Usually they have it available in PDF format, so once I had the document open, it was searchable. Then I would search on words like "poultry" "livestock" "fowl" and even "pets". Once you have found the section you need, it usually isn't too hard to get an answer.
