kuntrygirl, after shopping around online, could not find at any kind of stores, I got 1 gallon from Revival Animal Health for 24.99 + 6.99 ship
Arrived FedEx in 2 days.
The prices were about the same everywhere but way more for shipping, like 13.99
I imagine this gallon will last me at least a year and ease my bit of germaphobia.

We order Oxine from Revival Animal Health the 1st of Sept. We decide to get 4 gallons so we paid $19.99 per gallon, and $14.99 S&H. Our total was $94.95. We received the product on Sept. 6 (Labor Day Holiday increased shipping time.

We are using the shagbarkbantams recommendations for dilution without the activator, and have sprayed all coop areas, roosts, floors, and the birds. Flies are nearly gone in the entire barn area, the place smells great, and the dust is reduced.

We use it in waterers (1/8 tea. /gallon water) every other day, ACV + vits on opposite days. We use food grade DE in feeders, and nesting boxes. Oxine in the am after poop removal, and DE in the evening before the chooks return to the coop for the night.

We have an old door mat that we spray with Oxine to disinfect our shoes between coops, pens, runs and brooder room. (We have 87 chickens, 4 age groups, 5 guineas, and 10 turkeys.)

We are using Oxine diluted spray in the kitchen as well.

We recommend this product, and will continue to use it with our feathered flock, and in our home.

I think this is exactly what I want to do. Already use a bit of DE in food and sprinkle everywhere once a week.
But, you spray down the coop every day w/Oxine solution? I am thinking once a week? I only have 15 chickens.

I have put about 2 Tbs ACV/gal in water every day during major heat all summer.
Do you alternate the ACV/Oxine all year round?

My chickens have been so dang healthy, knock on noggin, since I started this adventure last April.
Man I loves me some chickens! Who Knew! And why did it take me so long

So should I be using it straight up or activating it? Do you do one or the other to put in their waterers and for cleaning? Thanks!

oooooh.... i just checked out Revival Animal Health because of it's good reviews, and they are having a special right now... for each gallon of Oxine you buy, they send you a 1lb. tub of citric acid free! I'm ordering two gallons today!

So my total for 2 gallons of Oxine, 2 lbs. citric acid and shipping is only 57.97. The best I've seen ANYWHERE!

I may be way wrong here but I don't think you want to activate it with the citrus for use around chickens.
Just plain and diluted w/water.
Anyone know for sure?

You do NOT want the activator, that makes it too strong. You should use a respirator if it is activated, making it unsafe around the birds.
I got mine from First State vet supply.
