Oxine as effective disinfectant?

Bleach (chlorine, clorox) is an oxidizer just like this stuff is. Just trying to save you some money, but if you want to believe the guy who's selling the stuff, go right ahead. I also happened to work in the chemical industry/chemistry department for over 30 years.

The person writing the article isn't selling it.

And I don't see how bleach is just as effective as Oxine when it doesn't kill everything it has been tested on, can't be fogged for respiratory ailments, damages animals sense of smell when oxine does not, and bleach is very damaging to materials while oxine is not. Oxine also has a higher residual disinfectant property.

All of which I would expdct you know.

All I can contribute (other than causing drama) is that I have heard great things about Oxine. I have also heard chlorhexidine recommended, but it doesn't seem as broad spectrum. Would work well for fungal and bacterial, but not sure about other "baddies" that might be in the used tractor/coop.
