Oyster shell seems rather large for the hens

I brought some oyster shell for the hens now that they are laying and the shells seems to be in rather large chunks, is that the norm for the large bag of oyster shell. The brand is Manna brand pullet sized crushed oster shell.

Chickens can swallow rather large things. I bet they are fine. I mean, they swallow whole mice and things like nails, screws, bolts and large rocks have been found in crops.
 
That's the brand we use and our hens eat it just fine. If you think it's too large or you see your birds having trouble with it, you can whack it a bit with a hammer to make it smaller. We do that for our bantams, even though they may not really need us to.
