Oyster shell

I have three laying hens and i was wondering how much oyster shell i should give them and how i should give it to them?

Just set a bowl of it out in their coop. They'll eat it if they need it.

I get oyster shells at the seashore.
(she sells sea shells on the seashore? No, they're free!)
I put them on a bick brick in the pen and pulverize them with a hammer, kept there for that purpose. Sometimes a hen will watch me and catch the bits that fly off the brick, sometimes nobody cares.
Whatever, I keep a steady supply for them and they thank me.

this morning i put a small bowl of oyster shell in there but i think they still are unsure about their new surroundings.

I would be concerned abou taking sea shells from the shore if thats what you mean. they could carry something that could effect you chx.
I use the shells from hard boiled eggs and crushed them.
