Hi New to alot of this . My question is when to start feeding Oyster shells. I have heard that oyster shells will help their keep their bones healthy. So I am assuming its important young and not just for egg laying. Any thoughts as to what age they could be introduced to the shells? Oh yah and What is the difference in Grit size? I have size 1 and 2 where I live in canada. Thanks

You don't have to offer oyster shell until they start laying. Their chick starter/grower should have enough until they start laying.

I don't know what the difference in grit size is.......I just buy road gravel to use in their runs and they scratch around in it and get what they need.
