Oyster Shells - should it always be avaialble?

I do not see oyster shells listed in the ingredients. Does this mean i should have some oyster shells on the side?

If it doesn't specifically say that it has any added calcium, than yes, it is a good idea to have oyster shells avaliable on the side.

ok.. uploading pictures via mobile is working now :)

they only sell this bag at the local wal-mart and petsmart stores

i don't see anything larger

my chickens are not laying yet.. if needed.. i'll just use eggshells instead..

I go to tractor supply to get all my stuff. Nothing wrong with the smaller bag.

it's cheaper if they have it in bulk

the same reason why we would rather buy 30-50lb feed instead of 5lb bags ..

Right, which is why I said i get the larger because it is more economical. If the smaller bag is the only thing available, nothings wrong with it.

I switched to a different feed and i gave the girls some oyster shells today, but they just pecked it out of the tray.
