My daughters and I eat them out of the tin with toothpicks, taking turns so no one gets to be a little piggy. At Christmas we'll eat them until we're sick during an evening of sitting around watching Holiday specials...an old tradition from my childhood. I eat the whole tin myself when the kids aren't home to fight me for them

in our small community we have a BIG oyster stew dinner on January 1st. THE BEST oyster stew in the world!
everybody brings a covered dish and we always have a crowd of about 100 people. we take up a collection for the 8 gallons of oysters it takes for the next year - has been going on for overy 75 years now.

i love oysters any way you can eat them - but definitely not interested in the mountain oysters.

but what is the strangest thing that you have ever eaten??
