Welcome!

Merry Christmas to you also!

I hope you enjoy BYC; not only is it overflowing with lots of useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun. Unlike non chicken loving friends, family and colleagues, BYC’ers never tire of stories or pictures about chickens, turkeys, duck, quail, Peas and pretty much any other feathered and non feathered friends

Whall Howdy, cuz!
Thank you for your welcome. It has been my experience that the word "expert", when applied to animals is almost always a misnomer. About the time I "know I know something, up jumps an exception. So, to have so many places to check what I believe to be True gives me a greater chance of doing it, or stating it correctly the first time. I look forward to learning and sharing. Thanks, yet again!

Welcome to BYC, from Barton County MO. Joplin has an interesting poultry swap once a month, if you are interested, at Turkey Creek Feed. There's a state thread entitled Calling Anyone from Missouri....
Good luck with your poultry adventure!

Dear Sue T,
As all poulaholics are, I am always interested in finding new birds. However, the only thing I recognize in your post is Joplin. So, thank you for the "Calling............." suggestion. Trust me when I state that "I do this strictly for fun and eggs. In* total, I get 4 to 10 eggs each day (usually 4-5) and give away my excess eggs, after I share with Reggie, my dog. If I sold the eggs for $1.75 it would not compare to helping people by gifting the eggs.
I hope to see you at Turkey Creek Feed. Till then, Merry Christmas and rejoice in His blessings!
