PA UNITE - egg set 2/8-2/10/13 HATCH-A-LONG

I'm late to the party, but will be setting a few BC marans, cuckoo marans crosses & maybe ameraucana tomorrow.

I had to wait for warmer weather so the eggs weren't frozen in the nests by the time I get home for work.

Chiqueschicks, I've got LF B/B/S Orps, they have Finally started laying again. I'm only getting about 3 eggs a week though. I put a few in for this hat h.

So I candled my eggs today (today is day 3) and I didn't really see anything. Does this mean that they aren't going to grow, or is it too early? Thanks!

I tend to be a do nothing hatcher. I will generally candle at 7 and toss the ones with blood rings. I candle again at 14 and toss the ones with no development. Then lock down on 18 and may or may not candle.
I wouldn't judge at 3 days, personally.
Just the wayI do it, but it drives me nuts!

Two dozen more going in tomorrow. That will just give me time to clean out for three Easter hatch

So, I candled every egg today (day 4), and out of my 14 eggs, I see something in 8 of them! 2 or 3 of them have the dots with the veins growing out of them, and the others just have a few vains. The ones with the vains, are they okay and a little late from the others, or are they dead?
