So I was just sorta starting to fill out the entry forms, but I have some questions. First, what, exactly, is the poster contest? I am a youth and can enter in it but I only just reached my 1 year 4H mark so I have no clue what exactly it is. Second, what does it mean by primary next to the novice on the form? And lastly, what does it mean by both shows? If I use my Frizzle for Showmanship and my Wyandotte for confirmation, would that mean I would do 2 classes of showmanship and 2 of confirmation? Is that what it means?

I'll try to answer your questions in order...

The poster contest...make a poster, on poster board, on any poultry topic you want, it can be about your breed of choice, laying cycles, parasites, a disease, literally anything you want. Pictures, and text explaining everything, and cite your sources. It will be displayed at the show, and winners chosen. You can win some neat awards for this, including money sometimes.

I don't know what primary means, I've never seen that on there before, but yes, you are a novice.

No, you only do showmanship once. You can enter your conformation bird in one, or both shows, up to you. If you enter only one show, it will be the first one of the day, and you only pay a $5 entry fee. If you do both shows, pay the $10. Plus your exhibitor fee.

Hmm.... OK. I think I've got it figured out. But so the bird I'm doing showmanship with, I would enter her in 1 show then, because she can't do confimation? Sorry to keep asking you all these questions, I've never been to a PNPA show.

I have created the entry form in fillable PDF. That means that you can complete it, on your computer, save it, print it, e-mail it- whatever (it also adds up all the totals for you). I wanted to post here, however, I do not have permissions to do so. Does anyone here have those permissions and I will e-mail it to you to post?

PS~ I also have the Booth Rental / Breeder Raffle form in fillable PDF as well. I don't know about you but my handwritting has seen better days and I prefer to have my computer do as much as possible for me!! LOL

Don't put your showmanship bird on the entry form. You don't have to pay an entry fee for those.

This is 2hot2chicken.... I got locked out of my old ACT!!!! So I setup a new one for now.... until I get an answer from mods about it....

We will be going and bringing a few for my daughter to show and I have some silkie chicks for sale,
if there is interest I may bring some but not unless they are presold because they will still be needing heat.

Right now I have 2 Black Ameraucanas from a breeder back east (going on 10 weeks old now, I think are both pullets?)LF
5 Buff silkie chicks (3 and 4 weeks old) from BV and BB winning Parents
30 eggs due to hatch next week from buff and paint silkie pens, (possibiliy of some porcelains and some BBS as well)
I didn't have time to read but I lost my paper with the link to the entry forms if anyone has it it would save me some time!

After thinking about it, I have decided not do to do Showmanship. I started a new level for 4-H and I need more time to learn. So I decided that while I'm there, I'll pick up some Polish Frizzle chicks from Michelle, and enter my birds in confirmation. I really want to see how my Frizzle will do, aprently she has real nice confirmation according to judges and my 4-H leader. So basically then I don't fill out any of the stuff about the levels on the form if I'm not doing showmanship?
