Pacing chick - should I worry?

I just went to check on my little ones and one of them was pacing their brooder, it eventually stopped and laid down, but the whole time it was pacing it was look up at the top of the brooder...common thing to happen? Thanks so much in advance on input!

HAHAHAHAH! Thank you so much, you made me feel better! This is the first time I've seen one do that, we've had them for a few days now.

When I first saw her pacing, that was serious the first thought that came to mind! haha! She would pace, then look up like she was trying to find a way out of the cover! LOL!

I was just thinking about giving them some perches last night but it was pooring down rain so I decided to wait another day! haha! I *believe* they are about 11 days old....give or take. They are in a 25 gallon metal tub so I have to get creative on how to put roosts in there...any ideas? Here is our set up....


Not pictured is the hardware cloth to cover the top and we changed the feeder to a smaller one that is almost identical to the waterer.

Another question about my set up, do you think this would comfortable fit 5 chicks until I get them in the coop? I am a little nervous about that but don't really have the funds to get a bigger set up :-(

i make small ones about 4in. high out of wood. as long as the bottom piece is heavier then the top so it wont tip. also made a platform swing. lol you can zip tie to the top

I don't think that will be big enough for 5 until they are 6weeks old. How is your weather there? Do you have other chickens already in the coop?
