Packaging Birds For The Freezer

We are getting ready to slaughter our first batch of chickens for eating. We are going to do several at one time so most will be going to the freezer. What is the best way to package them for a stay in the freezer?

If you have it, a vacumm sealer is great.

Shrink bags or vacuum sealed. You can get the shrink bags online at http://www.cornerstone-farm.com/shrink_bags.htm

Otherwise, wrap them in a couple of layers (plastic wrap, then butcher paper, etc. before tossing them in the freezer.
