Packing peanuts, what are they?

Barred Rocks, and most likely males.

I read somewhere (on this site, probably) that if the barred rock's yellow spot was neat and not ragged, it's more likely a pullet....but I don't know so forgive me if I'm perpetuating a rumor...

They look just like the 14 barred rock packing peanuts I got back in October, all males.

But they could be sex-links, which would mean they're all males since they all have the white spot. You won't really be able to tell the difference until they're bigger.

I just got my shipment of chicks from Ideal this morning and I got 9 packing peanuts just like them and was wondering if mine were barred rocks too. I ordered 8 chickies and got these 9 extra warmers that look Exactly like the ones you posted pics of so I'm thinking mine are barred rocks from what everyone is saying.

I looked on their site and they are available right now so that's what they just may be.

all of the males for warmth i got from Ideal were the black sexlinks. looked just like them...​
