To accept the premise about witches is to accept the premise about spirits....Spirits did not create themselves, therefore, their actions cannot be random. Spirits must exist in a realm, which we humans, have, for some unknown reason, not been permitted to look into. This does not prevent us from trying to do so, whether through prayer, or conjuring.

In all of nature, there seem to be polar opposites, winter/ summer, hot/cold, swamp/ desert, and yes, good/ evil....Now, a spirt can't just be. It must occupy one side of the realm, and do its work, where it can.

So, we, as humans, must have some kind of identification for the work of these spirits, and we have come up with angels and demons.....The question is, which team of spirits are you trying to contact and why.

Demons do not have a problem with worship being directed toward them. Angels defer to their creator, and that's one good reason why Christ wasn't a witch.

I basically consider myself an ex-Christian, with serious atheistic leanings. Jokingly I generally refer to myself as a heathen. I use heathen because I have quite a few friends who practice non-Abrahamic religions. I celebrate Christmas, Easter and Halloween, with my children knowing what the Christian traditions of those holidays are. My kids also know the pagan origins of most of the trappings of these holidays, including the Christmas tree, lights, greenery, Easter eggs, Easter bunny, jack-o-lanterns and such.

Most of the pagans and atheists I know came through the path of Christianity. They are not unfamiliar with it; they merely reject it as a belief system for themselves. I have a friend who is Hindu with Buddhist leanings. She keeps having to endure the efforts of neighbors and friends to convert her to Christianity. She simply can't understand their drive to make her Christian, she can't understand why they see her belief system as flawed and valueless. Hinduism and Buddhism are not religions of exclusivity, and she just doesn't get the whole "one true God" thing. I think she handles the efforts with more grace and politeness than they deserve; but she feels that these people have a fundamental lack of respect.

Absolutely not. That's as bad as people saying that all Muslims are bad because 17 out of 1.5 billion flew planes into the twin towers. It's ridiculous.

However the Church did cover up a lot of the rapes. They knew what was going on and allowed the priests to continue what they were doing with a slap on the wrist and 5 Our fathers. That was their sin. It was an unforgivable one in my opinion.

**Dunkopf!! Drink your kool-aid, young man! Right now! **

Witches don't communicate with devils either. Few too many movies there pardner.

Jesus Christ wasn't Jim Jones or Barack Obama....Until and unless you can accept the premise of him being who he said he was, and doing what he did, for those same reasons, he's nothing more than a misquided hobo/ hippie.

Never met the man, wouldn't have any idea.

Which one?

The devil is a christian concept. Since witches aren't christian, the devil means absolutely nothing to them.
