Paint color challenge~ Can anyone find me this color paint (spray can, not airbrush)?

So how did the seller on eBay anodize shells? They are not metal. ?

chances are they were made in India

my guess is that the shell would have been coated with the silver (to adhere to the shell) and then the titanium anodized on top of that

my husband could explain it better but he's out of town at the moment

The shell is most likely electroplated with silver and then anodized titanium.

Are you sure it is a real shell? It could easily be a metal sculpture. If it is real then the shell is coated in a very thin layer of metal by the process of electroplating and then anodized. The other method is to use a real shell as a template then make metal copies either with a casting or using something like metal clay. I have sculpted shells from scratch that have as much detail as you see in that piece, it is not that hard to make a simple shell, some very intricate patterns or colors are much harder to make than a tropical scallop.
