Here he (or she?) is,.... I have THREE roosters (I just found out, they just started crowing!) Two are black australorps, and the third is a black silkie. I watched them crow myself, so I'm sure. This one, however, has the roo-like features way more than the confirmed black silkie rooster who I watched crow several times! Is this Paint silkie a rooster even though the others have crowed and he has not? I think he is 6 months old, but I'm not *positive*.

leaning towards a pullet, wattles would be bigger on a male since this one is a beardless silkie but full body shot would help though along with a good side shot of the head and a straight on shot showing comb

I would say boy due to the wattles. None of my paint silkie girls have wattles like that. But since he/she hasn't started crowing yet could be a girl. I've got one that is 5mos that's still got me guessing on sex. Sometime looks very girlish and other days very boyish and mine hasn't started crowing yet either? Do you have other males around that are crowing? If that the case I have observed that sometimes the younger ones take longer to crow since others around them are doing the job for them. But like hdowden said a body shot/side shot would help.
