Paint Silkie Eggs Lockdown 10/29!!!

We had one out of 12 hatch... This will be the beginning of the end of my using the LG for anything more than hatching again. I feel certain it is responsible for all of my late quitters in the last two batches. Good news is that the one little one that hatched is a paint baby!

So cute! I will get a pic of it today. I was hovering over the Bator when this one hatched on pins and needles to see what color it would be!

Yep, we are excited that we got even one! Only 4 made it to lockdown. I have Catdance eggs on Day 17, if this LG does them in then I'm going to freak out! Lol! Thinking I'm ordering a Brinsea this week...

Could you please clarify what you mean by "the LG"??

Thanks!

LG is a type of incubator.

I opted to buy the Brinsea 20 Advance. Had my very first & pretty successful hatch this past weekend. 8 eggs went into lockdown, with 7 hatched, Just looked at the last one, chick looks healthy though the yolk did not reabsorb, so there may have been an issue I cannot see.

The Brinsea was VERY easy to use. No temp issues, cradle rocked them consistently, humidity easy to adjust and control.

Sure, LG "Little Giant"... It's a styrafoam incubator that I bought at TSC and is widely disliked.

Thanks for the clarification. I'm glad that you got the colour you wanted! I'm wanting to pick up an incubator so it's good to know these things. I still have soooooo much reading to do on this site!
