paint silkies

i seen some paint silkies on feathersite last night and was wondering how to breed them like white x black or white x splash or what?

Jerry Schexnayder has them but he won't have any available this year. He says he really dosen't know how they can about but they are not created from a Black X White mating and they do not breed true. If you join his SCNA forum and wait for him to approve it, you will be able to access the forum and see pics of his birds in the Phote Gallery.

I believe the colour came from exchequer leghorns, and I think your statement about them not breeding true is incorrect. Henk please correct me if I am wrong.
Scratch that about them breeding true. Sigi said that out of every 10 chicks she was getting 8 paints, 1-2 black and 1 white.

Paint Silkies are in fact breeding true, and its taken over 15 years to get them that way. As well, the actual breeding flock in Europe is less than 50 birds.
