Paint Silkies

Well then who is Dick Timmermans? I found a site from the link redcatcher posted on th paint thread. All I've heard is Sigrid, but this site list this gentleman as the creator. This is why I asked the question.
I wanted to hear what others knew.
 
Paint silkies are nothing new. About 25 years ago, I had a lengthy discussion with Loyl Stromburg over a woodcut of a Silkie from about the 1600's (referred to as "wool bearing chickens") that appeared to be paint. I referred to it as ermine and Loyl agreed that the ermine color existed in Silkies and is one of the original colors that were imported. They were said to look like the trim of a King's cape; white ermine fur with black tails.

This is ineresting. Frankly I can see this with what does occasionally pop up in these birds.
