Painting Glass

So I bought a clear glass plate at walmart for $1.50. I wanted to paint a halloween scene on it and use it as a desert plate.

Well after 2 days of drawing something up I find that the paint is too thin..

Im using Acrylic paints because I had a lot of it. I dont want to go out and buy new paints because...frankly I dont want to spend the money..


Is there a way I can thicken up the paints?

Perhaps a couple of coats of paint?

Try a blob of paint on a plastic lid or something for a few hours and see if that thickens it up - you might end up with a "skin" over it. But it might work.
