painting your coop

Yeah, only old leaded paints are problematic. Becides, chickens aren't gong to see a painted wall and peck it to eat it up. I say paint it as it is investment for the longevity of the coop.

Looking at all posts, it seems pretty acceptable to paint the inside of the coop, so I am planning on high gloss exterior, thinking it will clean easier...I have 3 walls, the floor will be built tomorrow and linoleum (sp?) glued down...I'm so eggcited!
 
Definitely get GLOSS paint if you are going to paint. Flat and satin absorb dirt like you wouldn't believe. Semi-gloss or ideally gloss hold up way better to dirt.
