Pair of Pekins or do I need more females.

Hello,

New to raising ducks. I have 4 Pekins, 3 which are proving to be drakes. I am planning on putting the extra males in the freezer. My question is can I have a pair of Pekins or will the female be over mated by the drake?

Hi. There isn't an easy answer. It depends on the drake. Some drakes are okay with a single female, some aren't. If you don't want more females, then you can wait to see how he is. If you wanted to have 4 ducks, you can look for 2 more females, either adults or sexed juveniles.

Nice to see that you have a plan for the extra boys.
