I have a 16 week old RSL. She has been squawking very loudly the past couple afternoons, just for a half hour or so. I have been watching her, thinking she might be starting to lay. None of the other chickens respond to her calling, which I though was strange.
She jumped up into an empty outdoor cupboard and fussed and then layed down. I tossed in some hay and she fussed with it before laying on it.
I went out to check on her about 10min later and she seems zoned, not responding to me and her comb and wattles are very pale. She clucking softly, but the pale comb has me worried. It was bright red when she jumped up there.
She has been dusted with DE for pests and wormed using DE.
Full access to grower crumbles and fresh water.
All other chickens seem to be in good health.
