pale comb in young chicken

I have two new pullets, who are kept separate from my flock. They are about 2 months old and there is a black pullet and a white pullet, both appear to be okay but the white seems to have a pale spots or patches on her comb such as on the crease of the eye and on her ears I think that's what they are called? I did notice black dots coming off of her when I held her so mites maybe? It has been in the upper 90s where I live, I keep them in the shade with plenty of water and food. Could be because of the heat? maybe? are there any treatments for mites that work?
