I have a BR and Lav. Orpington that went through a late hard molt. They were almost bald and we live in WI. The weather dipped enough for them to be uncomfortably cold besides the normal uncomfortable with molting. They are on almost week 3-4ish and have enough feathers to cover and keep warm. You can tell they still have some growing. Their tails are still short and their fully “pantaloons” are not as fluffy as prior. Their combs went pale during molt and are still very pale. How long is it normal for them to stay pale? It has also dipped down to the teens during the day and a day or two with negative wind chills. So there has been a huge weather change. This is my first year with chickens going through a molt and I want to be sure and make them as comfortable as I can. I would hate to assume it’s normal. Any suggestions are appreciated. TIA.

If they still have pin feathers coming in, they are still in molt. The will start to brighten up once they come back into lay.

Check them over for lice or mites. Have you dewormed them recently? Worms and other parasites can cause anemia in chickens. I would also probably suspect possible Coccidiosis as well.
