Poor girl. She sure is pale. Mites are a possibility. How’s her stool?

Yes. Make sure you get rid of the mite asap. Work on the hen first then check everyone of your hens for infestation, then decontaminate the coop. Use permethrin to kill the mites.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that! She's so cute. I don't think treating for mites is a bad idea, but I don't think it's causing her symptoms. Are you able to separate her from the rest of your flock? I think you need to be able to see how much she eats/drinks/poops.

She's a bit skidish. I know she's eating normal but i'm not sure about drinking. I can try to catch her tomorrow

Easier to apply powder on a chicken and liquid spray for the coop.

Do it outside and wear a mask when your using the powder. Make sure she has the powder on her skin and feathers.

If i was to do scheduled mite prevention throughout the year, how often should i do it?

Yearly prevention starts in the coop, wash it down let dry then spray permethrin and let that dry. Spray the perimeter around the coop.

Update: after about a week, it started going away on its own and she is now released back into the "wild"
