pale yolks from silkies?

My silkies are laying eggs with real pale yolks. Almost white. Do they do this or is something missing? They get regular layer feed, and treats.

My yolks get lighter when the girls don't have enough access to greens......grass, weeds, ect. Don't think I have ever seen them "almost white" though??

Do your Silkies have access to grass? If mine are in a grassless run their yolks are pale. The ones that free-range have darker yolks.

No grass or greens, guess I better correct that situation.
