Pallets?

Yeah that is actually what i was thinking. I think I will just take them apart and put all the pieces I can into my trunk. Are they hard to take apart? Will just a hammer and a wedge work you think? Any suggestions welcome!!

This is what I'd like to know. We're adding on to a used coop that I bought and we're using pallets for the addition. I was thinking of taking them apart and using the slats to cover the spaces. The wood seems like it would break, though.

These are the pallets that I have picked up so far and I took one apart. I will tell you it took awhile. One thing is if you do not want to wood to break make sure you take your time but it can be done, also the dryer they are the better. I am just going to stuff my car full of pallets and take whatever ones apart at home. But I think I will start making my girls coop soon!!

Good job!

this video link shows more than one way to dismantle pallets. The first part is the way I do it using 2 long steel bars, and prying the nails out. Sometimes the ends are split and not usable for anything so I cut them off with a circular saw instead of prying the nails out.

Do you think I could wrap big pallets in a tarp and attach them to my room with a ratchet rope thingy? I am wondering.....I know it may sound stupid but that is why I am asking....
